What is Digital Case Import?

 

 Digital Case Import is a process where DLCPM reads the ZIP file provided by the digital scanners and imports the case in the system. After many years, scanner companies remain unwilling or incapable to release an API that would provide direct access. Magic Touch Software, however, will accomplish everything except the downloading. You get the file from the respective portal, and DLCPM will do the rest!

 

How does it work?

Importing digital cases requires two steps:

1.To retrieve the ZIP file

2.Read the file and create the case from the info provided

 

What scanners are supported?

We currently support files from six scanners:

•iTero

•3M

•Carestream

•Medit

•Sirona

•Trios (This scanner is fully supported in V14 as part of 3Shape integration)

 

How are the Lab, Customer, and Products determined?

This varies from scanner to scanner. Some, like iTero, provide a great deal of information, where others provide very little data. The chart below explains how the CustomerID and Lab are determined.
